THE ADVENTURE
Welcome, you’ve arrived at the teardrop-shaped paradise island! Our first destination is the small coastal town of Negombo, located just half an hour away from Colombo Airport. Today will be spent relaxing on the beach or by the pool to recover from the flight. In the evening, we’ll head out for dinner together to get to know each other and have a fun evening together.
Our day begins with a visit to the authentic fish market of Negombo, where we’ll witness local fishermen bringing in their catch from the Indian Ocean and selling colorful seafood. We then proceed to Hiriwadunna, a charming rural village nestled in the heart of Sigiriya. Here, we have a wonderful opportunity to get closer to local village life. We’ll travel by a traditional Sri Lankan mode of transport, observe the activities of fishermen and join locals in preparing a homemade Sri Lankan lunch. In the evening, we’ll climb to Pidurangala Rock, offering breathtaking views of the sunset and the legendary Sigiriya Rock Temple. We’ll conclude the day with an authentic BBQ dinner, enjoying local music and Sri Lankan hospitality.
This morning, those who are interested have the opportunity to start with a light hike to visit the historic Sigiriya Rock Temple. For those preferring a leisurely morning, there’s ample free time to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Next, we’ll head to the former royal capital of Kandy, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. En route, we’ll make a stop at a spice garden, where we’ll have the opportunity to explore local spices and plants. Upon reaching Kandy, we’ll tour the city by tuk-tuk and visit the famous Temple of the Tooth, believed to house a relic of Buddha’s tooth. The evening is free, providing us with an opportunity to experience the city’s nightlife.
Today we rise early and head towards Nuwara Eliya, known for its lush nature and endless tea fields. Along the way, we’ll visit a tea plantation and dive into the world of local tea pickers, learning about the nuances of the tea industry. Next, we embark on a train ride to Ella, considered one of the most beautiful train rides in the world. Our journey takes us through mountains and jungles, offering marvelous views of waterfalls and lush landscapes. We’ll spend the next two nights in the charming town of Ella.
We kick off our day with a short hike to Little Adams Peak, one of Ella’s most captivating trails. At the trail’s end, breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains await us. Following the hike, we’ll visit the iconic Nine Arch Bridge, tucked amidst lush greenery and known for its impressive architecture and picturesque scenery. In the afternoon, enjoy some free time in Ella. Lounge by the pool, explore local shops and cafes, or treat yourself to an Ayurvedic massage.
On the final morning in Ella, we bid farewell to this charming place as we make our way towards Wellawaya, stopping by a waterfall on the way. Nestled amidst lush green landscapes and serene nature, Wellawaya is an ideal destination for a day of relaxation. Here, we can explore the surroundings on bicycles and enjoy leisure time by the pool at our beautiful resort. We’ll conclude the day with a shared dinner.

Amidst breathtaking scenery, we’ll have the chance to spot majestic wild elephants and other captivating wildlife in their natural habitat. Next, we visit a local Buddhist temple, where we have a rare opportunity to receive teachings from the monks about the principles of this ancient philosophy.
