Welcome to the historically and spiritually rich capital of Nepal – Kathmandu, with its vast variety of temples and ancient culture. During our first day we explore the old part of the city Thamel where we immerse ourselves in the old architecture and have our first glimpse of the kind nature of Nepalese people. In the evening we meet our group and enjoy local cuisine.

Let the adventure begin! On our second day we will start our bus ride from Kathmandu to Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Nepal’s most renowned protected areas, located in the subtropical lowlands of the Terai region. As Kathmandu is located 1400m above sea level, the road will take us through beautiful views of valleys, rivers and villages into lush, tropical rainforest. As Nepal has so many mountains, there is no railroad. Upon arrival we can enjoy our cozy hotel and relax by the pool. Our evening will be filled with Tharu Cultural Dance. The Tharu people are an indigenous ethnic group of the Terai. Certainly local cuisine and fresh fruits will be part of our cultural experience.

After a fulfilling breakfast our exploration of wildlife will begin with a walk led by a local experienced guide into the depths of the jungle. Chitwan is home to an impressive array of flora and fauna, including over 700 species of wildlife. Some of the iconic species found here include the endangered Bengal tiger, one-horned rhinoceros, Asian elephant, sloth bear, leopard, and gharial crocodile. After lunch our journey will take us deeper into jungle safari with jeeps. Sustainable tourism practices are promoted within the park to minimize environmental impact while providing visitors with opportunities for wildlife viewing. In the evening, our journey will take us canoeing on the river while enjoying the beautiful sunset.

This day takes us on a bike ride to the wetlands of 20 000 lakes and its beautiful views. It is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 550 species of birds recorded in the park. Chitwan National Park stands as a symbol of Nepal’s commitment to conservation and biodiversity preservation, offering visitors a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the natural wonders of the Terai region and witness some of the world’s most iconic wildlife species in their natural habitat. Our road to the discovery of the secrets of the Himalayas begins. After breakfast we drive to the village Kande, from where we will trek 3-4 hours to the Australian Base Camp. The elevation of the Australian Camp is 2060 meters from the ocean position. We will spend the night in our mountain guesthouse, where we can enjoy fresh food from the local village, while being immersed in the view of the highest mountains in the world. Australian Camp allows a magnificent view of the Annapurna South (7219m) and Hiunchuli (6441m) along with the majestic Machapuchare aka The Fishtail (6993m) dominating the entire geography as far as the eye can see. Australian Camp is also a perfect place for contemplation and yoga. You won’t get disturbed by the noise of vehicles or any other crowd in this place. This place is located in the middle of nature and far from urbanization.

Our day starts with the beautiful sunrise and breakfast in the foothills of the Himalayas. We say goodbye to the Australian basecamp and start heading towards Sarangkot through the small villages and mountain agriculture areas. Today we will hike around 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours after lunch. Perched at an elevation of around 1,600 meters, Sarangkot offers panoramic views of the Annapurna mountain range, including the sacred Machapuchare (Fishtail) and Dhaulagiri. One of the main attractions of Sarangkot are its stunning sunrise and sunset views. Visitors often wake up early in the morning to make the journey up the hill in time for sunrise, where they are rewarded with breathtaking vistas as the sun rises over the Himalayas. Similarly, in the evenings, Sarangkot offers mesmerizing sunset views, painting the sky with vibrant hues of orange and pink. Photographers and nature enthusiasts will find Sarangkot to be a paradise for capturing stunning images of the Himalayan landscape. Here we stay overnight in the local guesthouse to capture sunset with the beautiful view of the Annapurna mountain range.

Good morning! After breakfast with one of the most epic views in the world and a short morning hike, it’s time to head back to civilization to our comfortable hotel in the Lakeside. Here we take a rest from our journey, get a massage, relax by the pool or shop around. There are many shops in the Lakeside with beautiful handicrafts made all over Nepal.
We will arrange a boat ride on Phewa lake to those interested. In the evening, we’ll enjoy the restaurants, bars, outdoor cinema and beautiful sunset over Phewa lake.

Free day! Today we can discover more in depth what Pokhara has to offer. The international flights are not included in the package, and the reason for this is that we want to give you total control and flexibility on how you manage your schedule! It gives you the freedom to join our trip from any location, arrive earlier, or extend your vacation after our trip!

Physical rating:
Be prepared for an active trip! However, our hikes are relatively easy and don’t require any specific preparation. This trip is perfect for someone who doesn’t want to do a long and hard trek, and wants to enjoy the wonderful nature and spirituality of Nepal. No need to worry about carrying your backpack during the hike: we will leave the big bags to our hotel in Pokhara.
Transportations:
In Nepal the roads are poor and road maintenance works may sometimes involve delays in travel. We will do our best to ensure that this impacts our trip as little as possible, please be patient and flexible.
