Welcome to Tokyo! You can arrive at any time, our awesome tour coordinator will be at the hotel ready to greet you and introduce you to the crew.
Once everyone’s settled, we’ll kick things off by diving into the wild energy of Shinjuku. Get lost in its bright lights, giant screens, and endless game centers. Then we’ll wander through the old-school charm of Omoide Yokocho and Golden Gai, where we’ll pop into tiny bars and cozy izakayas, meet friendly locals, and soak up the vibe. Let the adventure begin!
We’ll kick things off by wandering through the lively Tsukiji Fish Market, sampling tasty street food and diving into the chaos like locals. Next, we’ll head to our chef’s cozy apartment to master the art of sushi-making. Because no trip to Japan is complete without it!
After lunch, it’s time to dive into Akihabara’s electric madness. Think quirky shops, retro arcades, and maybe even a stop at a Maid Café for a hilarious, only-in-Japan experience.
As night falls, we’ll soak up the magical atmosphere of Senso-ji Temple under the glow of lanterns, then wrap up by exploring Tokyo’s hidden underground streets, straight out of a retro movie, before chilling with new friends at a cozy izakaya.
This morning, we’ll zip out of Tokyo on the iconic Shinkansen bullet train, rocketing toward Hakone. After dropping our bags at our cozy onsen hotel, it’s time to hit the trail and hike up Mt. Kintoki for epic, panoramic views of Mt. Fuji. an adventure you won’t forget!
We’ll wrap up the day by recharging like true adventurers in our stunning onsen, soaking in steamy hot springs after our epic hike.
Today, we’ll blast across Japan’s stunning landscapes on the Shinkansen bullet train to Osaka. Once we arrive, we’ll kick things off with an exciting street food tour, sampling Osaka’s legendary local specialties right in the heart of Japan’s culinary capital.
As night falls, we’ll dive into the epic energy of Dotonbori, with its neon lights, lively bars, and unforgettable vibes.

Today we’ll hop on a scenic train and head deep into the mountains to Koyasan, the sacred heart of Shingon Buddhism and a UNESCO World Heritage site. This mountaintop village has been a spiritual refuge for over 1,200 years. We’ll explore the atmospheric Okunoin Cemetery, Japan’s largest and most sacred, where over 200,000 tombstones lie beneath towering cedar trees and stone lanterns light the paths to Kobo Daishi’s resting place.
As evening falls, we’ll check into our Buddhist temple stay and enjoy a traditional monk’s dinner, a simple yet soulful experience. Tomorrow, we’ll rise early to join the monks for morning prayers, a peaceful glimpse into centuries-old rituals.

We’ll wrap up the day exploring the lively Nishiki Market and savoring a delicious dinner packed with authentic Kyoto flavors.
We’ll start the day with an early visit to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, taking in its stunning architecture and sweeping views before the crowds arrive. Next, we’ll hop on bikes and ride through Kyoto’s charming streets to the elegant Silver Pavilion, enjoying the peaceful scenery along the way. In the afternoon, we’ll venture onto the hidden trails of Fushimi Inari for a quiet, off-the-beaten-path shrine experience. To finish, we’ll dive into the lively atmosphere of Pontocho for dinner and drinks in one of Kyoto’s most vibrant districts.
Today we’ll kick off with an adventure through the epic Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, exploring hidden temples that few travelers ever find. Then we’ll hike to our favorite secret Zen temple, known only to the most curious backpackers, where breathtaking views over Kyoto, the Arashiyama forest, and the Katsura River await. In the afternoon, you can join an optional trip to Nara to stroll among its famous friendly deer.
We’ll zip back to Tokyo on the bullet train, then dive straight into the mind-bending world of TeamLab’s light exhibition—a dazzling adventure of color, motion, and interactive art that will leave you absolutely mesmerized. Afterward, enjoy a free evening to shop, chill, and feast on Tokyo
Kick off the day with a free morning to hunt for quirky Japanese souvenirs and the coolest finds. Then we’ll head to Yoyogi Park for a stroll and a visit to Meiji Shrine, where we can picnic like locals under cherry blossoms or fiery autumn leaves. Afterward, we’ll wander the vibrant streets of Harajuku, keeping an eye out for colorful cosplayers and stopping by themed shops. Finally, we’ll wrap up our adventure with a legendary night out in Shibuya. Karaoke, clubs, and unforgettable parties to send you home with memories to last a lifetime!

Flights are not included, so you can join from anywhere in the world. Arrive earlier and/or extend your vacation. You have total flexibility and control
Yes. We help you choose the best flight options and arrival times.
Fly into and out of Tokyo Haneda (HND) or Narita (NRT).
Ideally before 2:00 pm. The welcome meeting start at 5:00 pm at our hotel in Tokyo, around 50 minutes from Haneda airport and 90 minutes from Narita airport.
You can depart at any time. No activities are planned on the last day. The airport is about 60 minutes from the hotel, and your Tour Leader can help arrange transfers if needed.
Airport transfers are not included. Japan has an excellent and very easy-to-use public transport system. We’ll provide you with clear, step-by-step instructions on how to reach the hotel by train or bus, so getting there is simple and convenient, even if it’s your first time in Japan. Departure transfers are not included, as travelers leave at different times.

If you take prescription medication, bring enough for the full trip plus a few extra days. Carry a copy of your prescription with you.

A capsule hotel is a uniquely Japanese accommodation where you sleep in a private, pod-style capsule instead of a traditional room. Each capsule is compact but comfortable, with a proper mattress, ventilation, lighting, and power outlets. Bathrooms and common areas are shared. It’s a safe, clean, and fun experience and a great way to experience modern Japanese culture.

The itinerary, activities, and hotels may change due to weather, availability, or other circumstances beyond our control. If changes happen, we’ll always aim to minimise the impact on your experience. Occasionally, we also update itineraries to test new ideas and keep trips fresh.
