Terraxplora is organizing the next Neveready meetup and instead of one location for the event, it will be a unique 5 days adventure in the Arctic.
Joonas: ”We will still do the traditional meetup activities, BUT we will be on the move. The goal is to train Neveready mindset and tick off as many fucketlist items with the group as possible.”
“You’re never gonna be ready, so you might as well do it now”. During the meetup, the goal is to practice that every day. Not to give in to that feeling that tells you to do it later, do it tomorrow and procrastinate. The goal is to overcome fear, doubt, discomfort and do it anyway. The first Neveready decision you can make is to decide that “I’m going to the Arctic”. Don’t overthink. Just commit. If you don’t feel ready for it… do it anyways.

This unique location is likely the closest you’ll ever get to the North Pole. Winter is the perfect time to visit the island, as the magical polar night reigns, offering excellent opportunities to enjoy the spectacle of the Northern Lights.
Welcome to Svalbard! Our adventure begins in the heart of the archipelago, Longyearbyen, which will serve as our base for exploring the Arctic. After checking into our cozy hotel, we’ll take some time to relax until all group members have arrived. In the evening, we’ll go out to explore the town, offering the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with our fellow travelers and share our excitement for the days ahead.

After breakfast, we’ll set out to meet the dogs who will take us on an unforgettable daytime journey through Svalbard’s winter landscape. Once we’re comfortably seated in the sleds, we’ll begin our trek through the snow-covered terrain, soaking in the winter beauty and breathing in the pure Arctic air. Our journey will take us to an ice cave nestled within a glacier, where we’ll explore a captivating world of natural ice sculptures. During the trip, we’ll enjoy a warm lunch and hot drinks. All necessary gear, including warm clothing, winter boots and headlamps will be provided. In the afternoon, we’ll return to our cozy accommodation. In the evening, those who wish can join us in discovering local dining spots and finding a cozy pub.

Today, get ready for a thrilling Northern Lights safari by snowmobile or snowcat. Svalbard’s high altitude Arctic location offers perfect conditions for witnessing this natural wonder, and our local guides know just where to go for the best views. We’ll start our journey from Longyearbyen, venturing into untouched snowy valleys in search of clear skies and the most stunning viewpoints to experience the Aurora Borealis. Along the way, we’ll take breaks to enjoy coffee and snacks, keeping ourselves warm and energized for the adventure. In the evening, we’ll find an activity that suits the group and enjoy the unique atmosphere of Longyearbyen.
We’ll use the snowmobiles for our trip if at least half of the group has a valid driver’s license. Otherwise, we’ll search for the Northern Lights using a snowcat – a special off-road vehicle designed for snow travel, where the entire group can comfortably fit in.

Today we’ll go on a winter hike through the Arctic mountains. Setting out from Longyearbyen, we will be travelling in the stillness and darkness of the polar night. If the skies are clear, we may even be fortunate enough to witness more of the Northern Lights, casting their ethereal playful show across our path. Our route will traverse through breathtaking snowy landscapes, where we’ll have the chance to admire the untouched beauty of the Arctic. We’ll pause for a lunch break, breathe in the crisp Arctic air, and take in the stunning views. After the hike, it’s time to relax. We’ll visit the world’s northernmost floating sauna, where we can enjoy the heat of the sauna and take a plunge straight into the icy ocean – an experience that is like a cherry on top of our Nordic adventure.

In the morning, we will have the opportunity to enjoy a few last moments on this remote and mystical island, reflecting on the shared adventures and unforgettable experiences that Svalbard has provided. Those interested may visit the Svalbard Museum. Afterwards, we’ll be transported to the Longyearbyen airport.

Natural phenomenas are always unpredictable, so while we can’t guarantee a 100% chance of seeing the Northern Lights, the likelihood is very high during our winter adventure in Svalbard. Our trips are scheduled for the most optimal time and take you to the best locations where the chances of witnessing the Northern Lights are the greatest.
The international flights are not included in the package, and the reason for this is that we want to give you total control and flexibility on how you manage your schedule! It gives you the freedom to join our trip from any location, arrive earlier, or extend your vacation after our trip!
